Onigiro's team loves Japan and wants to share it with the world, but managing a worldwide website is not an easy task, also costing hundreds of dollars...

We want our website to be free from advertisements that might not respect our readers. In order to do that we:

  • do not use Google Ads or any other advertisement platforms that makes your navigation uncomfortable;
  • do not use Newsletters or other spamming methodologies;
  • do not save your Email addresses or any other personal information, things that other websites usually sell to make money.

    • If you like our work and want to support us, you can do it with the following methods:

  • Join Onigiro's club on Patreon, receiving exclusive benefits;
  • Make a one-time or recurring donation using PayPal.

    Like we said above, we do not want to insert advertisement platforms on our website, mainly because we would have a limited control on what the third-party algorithm will show to our readers.

    For this reason we have allowed to businesses that wants to be promoted on Onigiro.com (mainly because their business is related to travels and/or Japan) to have their own banners in our content. In this way we can assure the best quality advertisement experience to both sides, the readers and the businesses.

    Inside our pages you’ll find an example banner that shows how the ad-banner will be displayed to the readers (they are static images but completely customizable, we will provide you the pixel dimensions and you’ll give us the banner and tell us where to redirect the website traffic).

    To get your personal ad-banner, there are 2 Patreon tiers on our account that you can choose from:
